Title: PnkBstrB.exe
Post by: BPFLOYD on February 01, 2009, 02:18:19 AM
Hi, avast home thinks C:\Windows\system32\PnkBstrB.exe (hidden services) is a Suspicious File.
Glad I know what this file is and did not select Delete now.
I have been running this file and avast for ages, so why all of a sudden is this file suspicious ?
Please advise.
Thanks.

Hi...

Either this file is actual malware posing as the legitimate file OR avast is reading it incorrectly, a false positive. Based upon what I see here, it might be the former...

To be sure, you can zip the file in a password protected archive and e-mail it to: virus@avast.com
You can also run the file through an online virus scanner like VirusTotal and see they say...

Please post back with the results. :)

May God Bless you!
