Title: Computer freezes after restart, after AVAST newest version

While on internet last weekend avast updated with latest version
After restart my computer is frozen
Tried from Safe Mode and thought an old version of Norton was the problem, but it has been uninstalled, so I uninstalled Spybots, too, thinking this might be my problem, but did no good.

What can I try next.  Can't use my computer for anything and must communicate this problem from my computer at work

This is not good.

Please help

I will watch from work next week for any responses.

I have the same problem too, thus you're not alone.

We are required to know which version of Windows you're using.

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP1.
