Title: Problem with 'vpsupd.exe' version 0305-4
Post by: RJW on June 02, 2003, 09:17:00 PM
I have a PC that Avast 4 HE cannot be updated from the internet, so I download the 'vpsupd.exe' file and copy it to a CD.  Then I run the 'vpsupd.exe' file(from the CD) on the the PC to update the virus database on Avast 4.  This has worked thru 0305-2, but when I try to run the 'vpsupd.exe' that I downloaded today it says the virus database is current.  Then I tried uninstalling Avast 4, re-installing Avast 4, and then ran the 'vpsupd.exe' that I downloaded today(I downloaded it 3 times - twice from US and once from CZ).  When I start Avast 4 it says the virus database is version 0305-2.  My Avast version is 4.0-211.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Bob W.

There was a bug in the updating procedure and the file was not uploaded correctly. Now everything is working fine, so please redownload it again!

regards,

Pavel

Thanks for fixing it.  Tried it tonight, it worked correctly.
