Hi everyone,
I have the avast! professional edition, which is supposed to be able to schedule scans at a specified time. While I'm able to find that option, I can't see to find something which would make it shutdown the computer when the scan is finished. Does anyone know how to do that?
Thanks again.

Seems to be in the main menu if the Enhanced User Interface, see image.
I use the Home version so I can't confirm this.

I found that option too, however it can only be selected while a scan is running. I want to be able to shutdown the computer after a scheduled scan.. which is what I can't seem to figure out.
Thanks again.

i had the same question long time ago, but, i only downloaded a program that do the action instead of avast!
this is an idea... or a suggestion

Yea, but I don't know WHEN the scan will stop so I can't really schedule it (unless I set it to like 3+ hours later, but then the comp might be idling for a long time).
I know some programs can shutdown on CPU idle, but since this is a scheduled scan, it would have to launch AFTER the scheduled scan started.

You will have to investigate the task schedule in avast as that has a number of options, I don't know the shutdown after a scan is one of them. Since it is available elsewhere, I would have though it would be available.

No, I'm afraid such option is not available.

Ya, I thought so too.
igor, do you know if there's any chance this could be included in further versions, and/or if there is a workaround for now? Thanks.
