Title: error 1814

i ran a scan last night and the only thing found was cookies..i updated adaware and the next thing i know is that i cant access adaware and my cpu is running at 100%, and  all but 5%  is going to the AAWSERVICE.EXE .i'm not too techy but i know that this is not right!!any suggestions???

The file AAWSERVICE.EXE belongs to AdAware and not to avast.

If I were you, I'll replace AdAware with a more reliable scanner nowadays.
Use SUPERantispyware (http://www.superantispyware.com), MBAM (http://malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) or Spyware Terminator (http://www.spywareterminator.com/) to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete them.
