I was reading on another forum some time ago about a user of Avast antivirus who was getting a conflict between his Avast and his Norton Ghost. I've just been given a gift (unopened box) of Ghost 10.0 and am wondering if I should install it or will it cause conflicts with my Avast Pro 4.8. Has anyone any further information or experience on this matter?
Thank you.

It shouldn't conflict... can you find a link in Internet to that opinion?

I found the post which spoke of a Norton and Avast conflict. Scroll down to the post by Sparrow:

I think that the conflict was with remnants of Norton and not specifically with Ghost (a norton/symantec product) as the title of the topic implies, shadows of norton (a real pig to remove).
Sparrow later reports after uninstalling ghost and running regseeker clearing out norton/symantec entries he was able to reinstall ghost and no issues with avast.
So if you have never had norton antivirus installed and only ghost you shouldn't have any issues.

I feel the same.

No problem I though you would have no problems provided you didn't have NAV before.
Thanks for the update.
