Title: How do I get my spam blocker to cooperate with Avast?

How do I get my spam blocker to cooperate with Avast?
I have a question, I have searched google, and read the faq but I can't find the answer to this question. Please help, I am using Avast Antivirus, and Spamihilator but I have not been able to get them to cooperate with each other.
Both want to listen to port 110 for email, I read that I am supposed to change the port in Spamihilator and outlook express. Any time I change the port say to port 120 by changing the setting in Spamihilator and then running Outlook express then clicking tools, accounts, "accountname", edit, advanced, and changing the port to 120. I can no longer recieve emails. If I revert back to 110 everything will work again. Avast, has no way of changing ports. Here is what I am trying to accomplish, click on outlook express, have Avast check for virus's and then have Spamihilator remove spam. Is this possible? If you give me directions to successfully change my ports, will my Antivirus still work, will it scan incoming and outgoing emails?
Help Please

Actually, I finally got smart and just typed in spamihilator in the search function, found your answer and printed it.  However, I have yet to implement it.  I hope it doesn't kick my ___

thanks
