Title: Execute problems in Windows XP Home
Post by: 171KMB on May 07, 2004, 06:49:13 AM
 ???
When I try to open the downloaded setupeng.exe file, I get this message:  "C:\Download files\setupeng.exe is not a valid Win32 application."

What does this mean, and how to I work around it so that I can use the application?
(I've had this message with other downloaded applicatins in Windows XP Home ed, too.)

Please help!

It sounds like the downloaded executable has been heavily corrupted.
What is the exact size of the file?

Did you notice any virus behavior in your system?
Some trojans 'deactivate' and 'change' file assotiations and then, you cannot run or open some files.
But in your case, most probably, igor is right. I just downloaded the setup file and it works perfectly.  ;)
