Title: Avast! sounds and arrow
Post by: Bob Anderson on April 15, 2009, 06:50:36 PM
I recently installed Avast! on Vista 64-bit. Two odd things happened. There were no Avast! sounds but I found the .wav files and fixed that. The other thing is that the download green and red arrow does not appear, even though it is ticked to do so. Perhaps there is something I can do in the .ini file. Any suggestions?.

I don't think that thread can help me. The red and green arrow is update.gif and it is in its proper place in the !Avast folder, but for some reason it is not being loaded when downloading. I tried a repair in uninstall/repair but that didn't work. I'll just forget about it because ver 5 is just down the road anyways.

The automated updates are always run in silent mode.
On Vista you will only see the arrow icon when manually start and allow UAC answer.

Ah! I have UAC disabled. Thanks, now I know what's going on.

Thanks Tech. I didn't know if there were image glitches or what.
