I know Avast can automatically certain scan certain p2p programs but I was just wondering if there is any way to make it work with Ares Galaxy or Shareaza?

not at the moment i guess...your standard shield provider should keep you relatively safe

We will add about 15 P2P/MES programs into avast! 4.5. Please wait 1-2 months... I can promise that Ares,Shareaza and Edonkey are on our list and will be added...
