Post by: selkie on April 28, 2009, 05:25:52 PM
Hi. Just reinstalled Avast but I keep getting the message avast On-access scanner message then it shows up every thing it is scanning on the screen. I must have enabled something but I don't know how to stop this happening. Can somebody help me please to remove the messages on screen?

thanks

Yes you did - Standard Shield - Left click on the avast 'a' icon, click the Details... >> button if shown, select the Standard Shield provider > Customize > Advanced - 'Show detailed info on performed actions' this option is off by default, so it would appear you have been tweaking avast without knowing the effect it will have. This function is also on the Web Shield and Internet Mail providers so you should also check those.

Thank you very much. It was ticked on the Web Shield. Problem solved.  :)

THat helped me too. Using the Home-version I didn't see the -logo. But ther was a "customize"-button that showed many settings. Thanks.

The logo bar on the left has been changed (removed) in the new on-access scanner window, messes up all my previous images ;D
