Title: How do I put the Windows XP CD properly into the virtual machine?
Post by: !Donovan on May 10, 2009, 11:01:10 PM
Ok, I don't have a ISO file but I have a CD of Windows XP. I'm trying to get the CD into the virtual machine correctly so it will edit the machine's system and not mine. Any ideas or should I just insert the CD and when the screen comes up, click something that closes it and put it on the Virtual machine with the button on it?

You need to set the virtual machine to run the physical CD.
It's advisable to disable the autorun feature on CD or, like you say, just disable the automated window that opens in hosts machine.
