I do not use 2, 3, 4, 5... can't speak for them.
Kaspersky is a good antivirus. Although not free.
a2 has a lot of false positives.
ZA has a poor support (if you need it)
Panda... well, they even solve the unencrypted problem with signatures...

From the list, I use only the 2 below.
1 - avast!
2 - zone alarm
(I should point out that I use an older version of ZA before Checkpoint bought it out and added crap to it. I do not recommend doing this for anyone else.)

From the list:
1- avast Free and Pro with no P2P nor Outlook set at default settings.
2- No.
3- Vista Firewall Control Free on Vista no SW firewall on XP.
4- No. Too expensive for me.
5- No but the bears are cute.

1. No.1 for Web protection and No.2 for desktop protection
2. never can like it, there are many antimalware bette than it, why that?
3. ZoneAlaram was a good one, but years ago... there so many firewall bette than it, also for Antivirus, it's nothing...
4. I've seen many users happy with that, also it has a good scanner and virus database, but, anyway there many AV better than it, even more cheap and better protection, for example avast! and Avira...
5. I cannot talk about it... I've not seen any user happy with that, also I've not test it since 3-4 years ago to now, I don't know how good it is
