Title: Error in the help files

hi, i downloaded the english pack of avast 4.8 and i the help file i'm getting an error.

Specific:-
its the hep file CheckListSimple.chm whenever i disable the introduction option which shows the 5 steps and tips of avast i get a script error and it says to debug it whenever i check the box that say "don't show this window next time" please tell me wat to do or should i redownload avast again or what should i do.

Uninstalling the current avast! and installing the latest version of avast! home is an option^^

U should try it^^

Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs --> Avast [Change or Remove] --> Repair

first thing:- Thank you for replying  ::)

and yea i tried uninstalling and reinstalling clearing reg files and ll also i reinstalled windows again thinking i must have some windows problem but still i have that problem.

i installed the latest 4.8.

Actually the scanerio is such: i downloaded AVG uninstalled avast now when i wanna roll back avast suddenly gives this help file problem also the software does not allow me to delete the file.

any more help pls  :)

-= You may use AVG Remover (http://www.avg.com/download-tools) to remove all remnants of AVG which may affect avast..

After you got rid of AVG (and its remains), I suggest an installation from the scratch:

1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
2. Boot.
3. Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-uninstall-utility.html) and use it for complete uninstallation. If, for any reason, you can't run it, try booting in Safe Mode (http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml) and doing it from there.
4. Boot.
5. Download, save and install the latest avast! (http://www.avast.com/eng/programs.html) version. It will be good to accept the boot time scanning on next boot.
6. Boot.
7. Check and post the results.
