Hi all
I've put the "bart cd 2.0" in an usb key with the pe2usb program, and boots fine. But Salamander refuse to start.
Upon running Salamander, it pops up the following:
"this special edition of salamander 2.0 must be run from Avast bart cd"
1) How could I fix that problem?
I wonder if swapping salamander (avast cd 2.0) for salamander (avast cd 3.0) can fix that
2) Could I boot "Avast bart cd 3.0 Beta" from usb too and run Salamader with no problems??
I'm testing and trying a lot but I am not successful so far
Any help will be very thankful
Regards!

hey there...
this is not an answer to your question but i hope you realise that booting from an USB stick is more dangerous then booting from a cd
since the USB most likely is writable and thus able to get infected.
would be a nice gadget tho for avast to have in the stores: usb stick with a button to disable writing to the stick and you have to push the button to make it writable for upgrade/updates (updates which u do not do from the infected machine ofcourse)
maybe you could look into copying the files from salamander 3 your self from 2 live cd's next to eachother...?
