I won't lose this time now... avast is not a spyware and the application is freezing to RejZor  :(

Well it doesn't freeze in the right meaning of the word. It just displays one error message and when i click Ok it shows another one and another one and this probably never ends...
I than terminated its process and uninstalled it since i don't need such program that displays bilions of error messages.

Maybe a sticky "stay-away-from" topic, in whatever forum would be most appropriate, would be a useful addition here?  This sounds like an obvious candidate for mentioning there, and I'm sure there are lots of others.

Hehe lang.dll is the language resource library. It contains no executable code whatsoever... That means your spyware tools must be dumb enough to look for English strings instead of actual code analysis... ;)

Well, I would like to know what English text in the avast! language library can be so offensive that the SpyCleaner decides it's a spyware  ;D
(Another thing that surprises me that it checks the strings in Unicode.)

You're absolutely right and I provided a link to the Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites in this topic (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=6604) ;)

SpyCleaner, it is on the "Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites" list.. I would avoid it if I were you.

See http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

SpyCleaner

"aggressive, deceptive advertising (1, 2); false positives work as goad to purchase; "Free Spyware Scanner" uses out-of-date reference database w/ no update function; exploits name "Ad-aware" (1); Ad-aware rip-off (1, 2) [A: 6-26-04 / U: 6-26-04]"

@Technical

Yup  ;D Work for a business that does some work on home computers, we see spyware daily on many machines, amazing how many people are using Spyware/Adware to get rid of Spyware/Adware.  ::)
