I haven't really seen the kind of message you got, so I'm not sure
Exception Code: c0000005
I think this is the error code that relates to error denied (file in use, limited user rights etc.)
Are you logged in as an administrator? or a limited account?

Besides a complete re-install I am at a loss here, sorry.
Maybe someone else could help...
For the re-install:
*** It is probably a good idea to download the newest version of avast before starting this***
I suggest an installation from the scratch:
1.Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
2. Boot.
3. Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-uninstall-utility.html) and use it for complete uninstallation. Maybe you should boot in Safe Mode.
4. Boot.
5. Install again the latest avast! (http://www.avast.com/eng/programs.html) version.
6. Boot.
7. Check and post the results.

ok.
Thanks.
Test and Back.

Are you installing avast in the default folder? Just guessing...
The installation from scratch should work...

Why?
Me No't Access To Send PM Or Change Profile ( Age, Gender, ...?
You will not be able to get the rights to change your profile info till you get 20 posts.
-
Are you sure there has been no other antivirus before Avast? Even from months ago?
Maybe malware is causing this.
-
Why?
Me No't Access To Send PM Or Change Profile ( Age, Gender, ...?
- The problem comes from drive by spammers, who having registered put objectionable or commercial links in their profile signature to try and gain link promotion, etc.
There have also been cases of the PM function being abused to spam forum members, so you will notice that you can't use the PM function either.
Unfortunately because of the actions of others legitimate members suffer by the actions to prevent this spamming.

I would, but I don't know how.
Are you certain there has never been another AV on this machine?
-
Hello,
try to uninstall Windows Defender. It causes some crashes quite often.
-
Windows Defender cannot be uninstalled from Windows Vista.
Can only be disabled, but i don't recommend, I don't think Defender is responsible for this.

Yeah. It's not listed on add/remove programs applet.

I feel the same.
