You could try a boot-scan^^

Or install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware^^(www.malwarebytes.org)^^

 It is one reason why VRDB will be dropped in avast 5. As time goes by, malicious softwares tend to be more powerful & cause greater extent of damage beyond repair capabilities.

Ok, I'm back, but not because I went to sleep, because I couldn't even open IE! to reply.
I tried boot scan ( 3 times!) and since it took a while... but nothing, still there.
I tried also to running on safe mode, system restore off and nothing
also I couldn't run disk clean up until I uninstall and install back avast, then I could
run disk clean up, but nothing yet.
I will try installing your recommendation of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

I'll let you know results

Thanks to everybody!

<snip>

Have you tried another browser, firefox, opera, chrome, etc. one that isn't an IE clone and see if that also helps.

What OS are you using, including SP version and what Version of IE are you using ?

Isn't IE an unrecommended browser?

When the user is experiencing a problem with the browser, "I couldn't even open IE! to reply" then trying a different browser is an option. This at the least would confirm if it is a problem with IE or more system wide.
