hello to all...
I just installed an update to my free ZA firewall...
it has an additional feature of monitoring your antivirus software. It says it does not detect any av running on my system!
I turned off this feature...I don't want anything interfering with avast ;D
Why would ZA not recognize my avast! ? and why would there have to be something that would monitor my av anyway?? are they trying to sell me on their av?
Advice, please?
Thanks,
cojo

Technical, are you aware of the new update of Spybot sometimes locking IE options?
a friend of mine mentioned it...
or did I miss another thread on it ???

I think Spybot has a 'permanent' option to disable IE startup option.
I don't think it's a matter of the last update nor a lock for 'all' options.
I use that option: only startup page is 'blocked' and I have access to all other IE options. Hope this help ;)

Hi
read on ZA forum concerning update ZA 5
http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/board/message?board.id=inst&message.id=12045
So it seems that there no problem exept for the bad notification of the monitoring
It seems that Avast is working as usual
Is there suppose to be a problem...?

No... ;)
Only a ZA's problem: do not recognize the best antivirus round! >:(
I'm using ZA 5 Free without that notification. There are some other threads about this issue.
