Why isn't the same comment being made about any Virtual Machine? They also need their own protection.
It isn't inherited from the host. To me this is simply another "bash Microsoft" attempt.
Also not mentioned is the fact that when you wipe out the virtual machine, you wipe out any received infections.
I can't use XP compatibility mode because of hardware issues. This will probably also be the case for many if not most others. :'(
