Title: how to update avast! from file?

hello, i recieved a setup file of avast! home editin alongwith a RAR archive that contained update file. How do i use these files to update avast!? There is no option like "update from hard disk" that I can find.

Hmmm... Are you sure the source of the files are a good one? i.e., are they legit and clean?
The update file should be a .exe one and you need only to double-click it.
