Hello Avast,
I want to report that there was a server downtime today at approximately 11:45 am (CST) September 9, 2009. I did receive the sliding box message that Avast could not update the virus database at the time indicated. (Approximately.) The program showed that it DID NOT try again on the four hour default. I had to update manually and just to be safe also ran the Repair Diagnostic at approximately 8PM CST this evening. Through Manual Update, the definitions were successfully downloaded and installed.
