Title: Another Program is attempying to change a setting in Avast...
Post by: Flowolf on October 07, 2009, 06:04:30 PM
I'm running 4.8 Pro for my Biz, I'm on a network, a box is popping up giving me this message.
I have ran Avast and Malwarebytes in Safe mode, not finding anything.

Not sure how to find what program is trying to make the change, or what setting to change in Avast to stop the issue.

I'm not sure that is the complete message as I thought it also stated what is trying to access avast's files with write permission.

@ Flowolf
Check the avast! Log Viewer (right click the avast 'a' icon), Warning or Error sections, this contains information on all avast detections, etc. C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashLogV.exe

- Or check the source file using notepad C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Warning.log and copy and paste the entry.

Is it possible a screenshot or it is an UAC-like message over all others.

I'll get that log info posted as soon as I can.
Thank you
