Title: Can't push out avast to a server
Post by: tgalay on October 07, 2009, 09:29:01 PM
I'm trying to push Avast server to a server but it continually fails. I didn't have this problem with other 10 or so servers that I did. When I look at the remote install log it indicates that it failed because an 'install is already in progress'. I don't have any other deployment tasks running. Is there a way to kill this install or better yet how do you find it? Any help would be appreciated.

try running: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-uninstall-utility.html  on the failing server....
means a reboot tho....

if that doesnt work u should see about having MSI to quit thinking its installing avast, im not familiar with the MSI commands but if you google it you can find it i believe

Actually I didn't have to run the uninstall utility, a re-boot fixed the problem.

Thanks
