Title: Has the server changed for updating iAVS database in Avast Home Edition?
Post by: AvastReloaded on October 11, 2009, 02:38:23 AM
When my Avast tries to update using VisthUpd.exe /vps from my Program Files

It showed the server as static.theplanet.com, instead of normally (for example) download954.avast.com.  What is static.theplanet.com?  Is that a proper download server for Avast?

Have you ran a boottime scan? If not, do so. If you did, let us know if anything was found.

There are hundreds of download servers for iAVS updates... so yes, they can certainly change.
