well, i could be wrong, but i don't think Avast 4.0 home is ment to be used on Windows 2003 server.

They have a special Avast server version thats works fine with win 2003 but its not free :(

Waldo is right. We are working on payed version for server operating systems. Its first BETA version has been released on last CD. Home Edition is not designed to protect servers and targets home and non-profit users only.

Yes you could.

The beta will be posted on our website in a couple of days.
It will contain protection for Windows NT/2000/2003 file servers, and special modules for MS Exchange, MS Proxy/ISA Server and also (generic) SMTP gateway (based on Windows IIS SMTP Service).

I will also post a topic about it on this forum, as soon as it's ready.
Stay tuned! ;)
