Title: Exchange Plugin
Post by: kevinnoon on June 07, 2004, 12:51:42 PM
Hi I am running Avast SBS version on SBS2003, but the echange plug in does not seem to be working. I am still reciving virus in my inbox on my workstations running WinXP Pro + avast Home/Pro. I would expect these to be removed by Avast SBS. Is there any way to test/configure the echange plugin? ???

Hi, is the plugin active?

Did you install it (did you check the Exchange 2000/2003 and SMTP 2000/2003 providers when installing avast)?

Did you complete the Server Deployment Wizard? Were the Exchange 2000/2003 and SMTP 2000/2003 providers enabled (i.e. not greyed) in the wizard?

Thanks
Vlk

You need to install them.

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> avast! Server Edition -> Change. Tick "Exhcange 2000/2003" and "SMTP 2000".

A restart will be required. Do it and then re-run the wizard.

Thanks

PS Where is the installation of the plugins documented?

Well yeah now you hit the nail on the head... :-[
English documentation for the Server/SBS Editions is not ready yet...

But it's in progress. :)

Sorry.
