Title: Avast4 Home edition. Runtime Error

hi folks got this runtime error on startup this evening and it won't go away after clicking ok. First error i've ever had with avast after using it for 2 yrs.     Here's The error....
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library-Runtime Error. Program C:Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\setup\avast.setup  This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information"

"Avast 4.8 Home Edition. Build- Sep2009 (4.8.1356). VPS File- Compilation Date: 13/10/2009. File Version: 091013-0.  License Expires- 1 Dec2009."

Xp Pro, 735mhz Celeron, 512mb ram.

Try a reboot. Sometimes, errors would just happen for no serious reason.

Hi
What service pack are you on? Try booting xp in safe mode and try a repair of avast through add and remove programs? & reboot.
