Title: Chest server error - RPC communication failed.
Post by: nadiamdq on October 23, 2009, 03:34:06 AM
I just installed Avast, and while running a quick scan on a single folder, I got a trojan alarm, and a suggestion to move it to virus chest. Of course, I clicked 'yes'. Problem is, when the scan finishes, I get a 'chest server error - RPC communication failed'. Looking through the forum I read that it might be a common problem when you have a second anti-virus software installed in your computer (I have AVG 8.5.423). Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks!

Welcome nadiamdq

You can not have 2 anti virus applications on your system so you are have to chose between AVG or avast!

Get AVG Remover(32bit)
(avgremover.exe)
http://www.avg.com/ca-en/download-tools

Seriously, trying to run more than one AV as resident can leave you less protected, rather than more.
