Virus Protection Unknown.
 
Computer specs Windows Vista Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 2.

I removed Belarc advisor from my system years ago as it simply didn't seem to have up to date information other than windows updates. Presumably you are on avast 4.8 and not the beta of version 5.0 ?

So I suspect it hasn't got avast on its database which for me is somewhat confirming what I said above.

You should be more concerned that Windows 'does' recognise it.
