Title: Win98 Blue Screen Shutdown

In Win98 I get blue screen at shutdown. If I uninstall avast then ok?
I used to have slow shutdown in WinXP but this problem was solved several versions ago. Any suggestions?

To help you, we have to know a little bit more...
What processes are opened when you start the shutdown process?
Did you have any other antivirus installed in this computer?

If it's a question, then it's impossible to say without more info.
In any case, the content of the blue screen (all those numbers etc.) may be helpful...
