Title: Which version is the right one?
Post by: xchrischx on November 02, 2009, 01:05:32 PM
Hello everybody,

I have one question. When you want to download Avast Home Edition you have two possibilities. You can download it from from a website called chip.de. This is the recommended way. But you have also the possibility to download it directly from avast.com. Both versions are the same but the one from chip.de has 38.018 KB, the one from avast.com has 38.869 KB.
I just wonder why, so has anybody an idea?

Greets,
Chris

If you're really downloading the same file (i.e. the same language version, the same edition, etc.) - the version from avast.com is most likely newer (well, it's always the latest build there), or maybe the same version of the program with a newer version of the virus database inside.
