Title: Parameters to scan file downloads
Post by: jsaxon on June 18, 2003, 08:56:57 AM
Could anyone point me to the correct command line parameters to allow automatic scanning of downladed files?
Specifically - in Metaproducts Download Express (a great free download manager) there is an option to set an Antiviral check command line. If I set that to .....\Avast\ashAvast.exe %1 the Avast! program is opened when the download is complete, but only memory is scanned - not the file......
Ideally the file should be scanned and the Avast! program closed.
Any advice most gratefully received.
All the best - JohnS

You can use ashQuick.exe without any parameter. It works fine with download manager FlashGet so I think it will work with Download Express too.
