No it hasn't been sent as there should be a form pop-up to complete some basic info on mhy it is being sent, etc.

Try this:
- Menu, Display Remnants, Log Viewer Remnants, Graphics glitches, etc.
- Edit the C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\avast4.ini using Notepad [Common] section, add the following line to the section SunbeltKPFHack=2, save the file, you will be prompted by the avast! Self-defence module if this is OK answer Yes. Whilst this is primarily for Sunbelt or Kerio Personal Firewalls it may well work even if you don't use either of these firewalls. You may need to reboot to have the changes in the avast4.ini file to come into effect.

I already tried that.
After making the change I rebooted the computer and it still would not work.

The only other thing I can think of are, what other security applications do you have installed ?

Have (or did) you another Anti-Virus installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

If they don't work:
Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. This has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual VPS version.
If that doesn't work try, uninstall, reboot, install, reboot.

That, Norton can be a right royal pain in the ass to get rid of even after it was supposedly uninstalled.

A link worth looking at, which is a program removal tool that can remove the remnants of a number of different Norton Programs:
Removing your Norton program using SymNRT (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039)
