Title: avast! Exchange Server Edition - Exchange 2007 32bit
Post by: .: Mac :. on November 10, 2009, 11:22:35 PM
Does the Exchange 2007 plugin work with the 32-Bit Version of Exchange 2007? We are having difficulties with the mail store crashing when we enable the Exchange 2007 from the server deployment wizard.

This is a temporary setup for testing a hosted exchange server, we will move to a 64bit system in the future.

the plugin should work on both architectures...

that said, if you do a search on the board here you will find plenty of topics with this problem
some of them have solutions

the most obvious one is: did you install a different AV before installing avast?

This is a clean install of Server 2003. Avast is the Only AV that has been on this server.

check this: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=44131.msg369383#msg369383
and this: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=40960.0

both topics are on the same problem as you have
the first is a direct link to my posting in there, ignore the part where it says something about another av product, just try the registry trick i did in my vm back then...
