Title: Web-shield and K-Meleon compatibility
Post by: 2meme2 on December 02, 2009, 11:47:05 AM
Hi,

Are there any compatibility issues between avast! web-shield and K-Meleon browser?

I ask this, because, in my machine it seems that the web-shield is not running at all, when I use K-Meleon to surf net?...

edit: os is WinXP(Pro), Avast 4.8 Home(1368), K-Meleon 1.5.3

EDIT2: okay, found a solution here: http://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=374

Hello playwin2

there is a setting you can make webshield scan the http port while browsing using k-meleon. you can follow this link : http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=48779.msg411809#msg411809 (read posts starting from spg scott)
