Title: why is Vipre so darn tiny?
Post by: pinnacle on December 05, 2009, 04:40:49 AM
My buddy is using it he says its like a little over 26 MB. He is testing the Vipre 4.0 beta premium with Firewall, Host intrusion, IDS. How is that possible. an entire secuity suite so small.

Certain software makers don't have the time or patience to improve its detection capability without increasing the size.

Think what happened to Ad-aware by Lavasoft. Its big size doesn't justify its detection capability. It had a nice software few years ago.

There are also some less size softwares that just run on steroids

Hehe by the way can someone tell me how to know if it is a bogus?
