Title: Questions about avast internet security suite
Post by: jpmartin on December 05, 2009, 11:30:37 PM
hi eveyone in avast users,

After reading about avast version 5.0 at this site http://blog.avast.com/2009/11/30/so-when-is-version-5-coming-out/, I need to know more about it, and a few questions to ask.

since windows 7 have it own firewall and with the avast internet security suite, does that mean iavast will disable windows firewall? or is compatible with two (avast/windows) firewall?
since I had been using nortion 360 and is has no problem with windows 7 firewall and nortion firewall at the same time.

Thanks.

It is compatible with the windows firewall and as such won't disable it when installed as it common when you install other firewalls.

Your biggest problem may be getting rid of Norton as it has in the past been a real pig to remove.

Well my nortion is expired in the end of this year and I just want it to test on avast security suite. After hearing this does avast giving consummers a trial version for a month or so test on the software? Ican't wait to take a test on it. I know the beta is available but the software are flaw at this point, I just don't want a test on it at this point.  ::)

Previously avast has given 60 days unrestricted trial use for the avast Pro anti-virus, I don't know if that will be the same when the avast Internet Security suite is released, but I would imagine it will follow the same line, though I can't speak for Alwil Software, I'm just an avast user ;D

I think avast probably give a trial version for consummers  :P, because without giving a trials how can they sees avast has improving over this years. (just my opinion  ;D ;D)
