Title: Starting Avast from Explorer directory
Post by: OckieFur on June 14, 2004, 02:18:07 PM
Hi
I have lost the rotating ball in the system tray which means that my comp is not protected - Avast not active. The 'Hide inactive icons" - for System Tray -  is unchecked.
Apart from rebooting, I don't know which .exe file to invoke in the Avast directory. It would be convenient to do so without a reboot. Anyone out there that can help?
Eric   ???

You can:
1. Reinstall avast or repair the installation (Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast > Repair)
2. Run ashDisp.exe from the avast folder and see if the rotating 'a' comes back  8)
