Title: Iraqi insurgents hack US drones with $26 software
Post by: Chris Thomas on December 18, 2009, 06:50:57 PM
Iraqi militants are intercepting sensitive video feeds from US predator drones using $26 off-the-shelf software, and the same technique leaves feeds from most military aircraft vulnerable to snooping, according to published reports.

hey it would be one Kodak Picture moment if the insurgents were tracking a drone and they saw the video feed and they then saw a closeup of their faces, and before they could say OH...SHI....... Hell fire missiles took them out.

It might be able to grab the video feed, but it as far as any report goes, hasn't been able to control either its navigation or weapon systems.
