The weird thing is, I'm not getting what you get...all I get is the network shield blocking the ad site...
Is it when you sign in or something?

hope it will be corrected soon
That is if it is wrong...

This is not a good idea unless you want to infect your computer. You should know better ... but it is your choice.

I would have to agree with CharleyO, It MAY be a FP, but until ALWIL say anything, we don't know yet...

Please read:
Every 3.6 seconds a website is infected
http://www.scmagazineus.com/every-36-seconds-a-website-is-infected/article/140414

It is a FP and will be corrected in about 30 minutes.

Hi Dan,

Haven't we been here before: JS:ScriptIP-inf [Trj] :  http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=52692.msg446437#msg446437
Avast blacklisted

this false positive will be corrected in new vps update in about 30 minutes. We are blocking ads from yieldmanager.com (by mistake because they were in our stats as distributor of Fake Antivirus websites).
Might be a FP, and if that is so will be corrected (ask jsejtko to confirm)

I got the same thing. They better straighten out their screening process before they release updates. Last month was a big disaster. I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Joe S, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) has false positives and they fix them as promptly as possible.

This is not comparable IMO, this was a case of one ad company site that was blocked. it is the case that many site use these ads (which many people simply block...) to make money. the incedent you are referring to was MANY files on pcs....

It may not be as serious as the last disaster but how many of these glitches are people going to put up with before they dump Avast? On top of the definition problem I wasn't the only one that got Antivirus Live that slipped through.  I realize this extremely complex for them to deal with. I think they need to review their screening testing process since this is the second bad update in about a month and see if they are doing something different. What good is an antivirus program that is getting faulty updates causing alarms? If there is an alert are we supposed to check here first before taking action to keep the entire system getting corrupted? I've used Avast for several years now but am starting to have second thoughts on reliability. How many oops are people going to put up with? Until they straighten this out I can't honestly recommend Avast to anybody.

Joe S

Why don't you un-install avast! and install AVG or Avira then you can complain to them about their false positives and poor performance.

Maybe I will if they don't fix their problem. This site isn't my life! They've got a problem and need to fix it soon or I won't be the only dumping it.

I personally feel that ALIWIL have responded well to this, a simple FP that only affected so many people, simply because it was an ad...most network shield blocks may only affect one site...
This is really no different to a normal FP, but since so many people will experience it, many will complain...

I can perfectly imagine that you are doubting avast!...and obviously it is your choice as to whether to stay or not...

I've never had a problem with Avast until now.
Anyone know when this will be fixed? I still can't access any Yahoo pages without the virus warnings

Welcome to the forums, Anga.   :)

It has been fixed. Has your avast updated lately? If not, do a manual update.

Let us know how it goes.
