Hey guys,
I was impressed with Safe XP which polonus advised to use, so I tried out their another software called Game XP
I think it turned off some necessary system services
I did a restore but this following is not getting restored
Now,
When I log into my XP,
Immunet don't show the usual notification in the Systray showing how many people are connected to it.
I can hear the pop up sound but I cannot see the notification.
Can anyone help?

From their website:
Game XP has been designed to speed up your computer by optimizing system settings in the most efficient way to allow for maximum gaming experience.
Makes games to run faster and boosts overall performance of your computer.
Optimizes your 3D card performance for maximum gaming experience and much more...
No installation or modification needs to be made to your hardware.
If system analysis of Game XP match your computer then simply press the "Go to Warp Speed" button.
It does not need any DLL or another file(s). It is just a single "EXE" file: GameXP.exe
Easy to use interface.
No installation necessary.
No experience or computer skills necessary!
Maybe just delete the exe file, or uninstall?

I used that program but I don't know what happened
I did a restore to default values
But still
The Systray pop up is not showing for Immunet
-
Then I'd try to repair immunet from add/remove programs. When you did a system restore, it could have hosed the installation.
-
I didn't do a system restore
There is an option inside the program which turn changed values into default
I just clicked that option. Every change got reverted to its default state except this problem.
-
Sorry, my mistake.
I did a restore but this following is not getting restored
What is not getting restored, exactly? Or do you not know.
Immunet don't show the usual pop up in the Taskbar showing how many people are connected to it.
Still might be corrected by doing a repair of the software, if gamexp disabled it.
Again, I'd remove gamexp using add/remove programs first to see if everything goes back to normal.

Why not simply uninstall everything - reboot and then re-install Immunet.
-
I reinstalled Immunet. But still the same.
Maybe it a bug with the latest version of Immunet that I installed today
Version 1.0.22
I cannot see the Immunet cloud notification on my task bar
This is my problem

Hi Chris...
Does the icon for Immunet appear in the toolbar? Bring up the main program window to verify you are connected to the cloud and then click on "settings" at the top. Be sure the slider bar for cloud notifications is set to "on." and then click "apply." It's possible the windows balloon (pop-up) sound may be for something else, however unlikely. ;)
God bless :)

I just uninstalled the previous version and installed 1.0.22 but the system tray is showing.

Thanks for all your help.
I messed up with the registry and this is the reason I could not see any notifications on my Systray about anything. :-[ :-[ :-[
I had thought it was only with Immunet.
It has nothing to do with Immunet. It is because I messed up with the registry. I think so.
@ ardvark @ bob
I can see the icon of Immunet and other softwares but I cannot see their usual notifications that pops up.
Cloud notification was already switched on.
I did a system restore and every thing is fine.
Again, Thanks!
I would advise everyone reading this never to use GAME XP software because it changes some registry settings and it cannot revert it to default by itself.

Thanks for the heads up. I usually turn off programs manually if I want to play a game that uses a lot of resources. Haven't played a game in quite some time though!
-
Glad you solved your problem Chris. :)

I thought this advise might help any future people like me ;D ;D ;D
How To enable / disable balloon tips in the notification area, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then press ENTER.
2. Locate the following subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
3. Right-click the right side pane, create a new DWORD value, and then name it EnableBalloonTips.
4. Double-click EnableBalloonTips, and then give it a value of 0 to disable or 1 to enable
5. Close Registry Editor.
6. Log off Windows, and then log back on.

@ Chris
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\EnableBalloonTips
Is there by default It is because I messed up with the registry. I think so.

@ Yokenny
Yes, but a software called GAME XP modified that in my PC.
Anyway,
