I use Avast Pro trial version. Today Avast showed me a pop-up notice, that the time of trial version comes to an end. However if I click in Menu "About Avast" and pass eventually to the offered link for purchase https://secure.element5.com/esales/checkout.html?PRODUCT[192878]=1&backlink=http://www.avast.com/rus/buy-avast-antivirus-professional-edition.html &js=-1&lang=RUS&backlink=http://www.avast.com/rus/buy-avast-antivirus-professional-edition.html&cartcoupon=1&__utma=1.1401500448.1262979040.1262979040.1262981797.2&__utmb=1.4.10.1262981797&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1262979043.1.2.utmcsr=program|utmccn=PurchasePro|utmcmd=link&__utmv=-&__utmk=93614749 that I see that the product costs RUB 1,701.70.
Question: Why the same has two different costs?

Ah. This is pretty clear. In option a) you're bying an upgrade, in option b) you're buying the PRO edition itself. You first should purchase from the second URL, and only use first to upgrade the product if you already have it. Or when upgrading from trial version, but i don't know whether that works.

You can get the Home Edition for free meanwhile to protect your PC. And purchase when you already to purchase, they should downgrade or upgrade automatically when the different type of license put on it.
