Title: Win32:Agent-ACII [trj] help
Post by: monta on January 14, 2010, 11:11:34 PM
Hello

 I scanned an application with avast and it showed 0 viruses, but when I started the application Win32:Agent-ACII [trj] was detected. I clicked delete, I ran scheduled boot-time scan and results showed 0 viruses detected. Also tried safemode scan with system restore off it showed no viruses.

note: virus database updated before scanning

How can I be sure my pc is clean
Is there any removal for this specific virus Win32:Agent-ACII
What harm this virus can cause to my operating system? Can it steal passwords?

Thanks

Submit the file to virus@avast.com (in password protected archive or through avast chest) I don't know exactly what type is this malware. But as you said; is possible that the trojan is a "Downloader" type. the generic nature of this detection means that the Payloads performed by this group of trojans may be highly variable, and therefore difficult to describe specifically. This group of trojans has been observed to perform any, or all, of the following actions:

    * redirect Web traffic
    * manipulate certain Windows or third-party applications including settings or configurations
    * drop or install additional malicious programs
    * download and run additional malicious programs

No, you can choose any password. You must always include it in the message. The majority of the times believes that they use ' virus ' as password. It is your decision.
