Hello everyone !
This is new one (yes, again)... and it really dedicated to all those avast! users out there who wants their antivirus program to look bit more professional, but I must say, RejZor is the main one who keeps pushing me to make something like this... so, that's why...
This skin is dedicated to RejZor, and it will "wear" name "RejZor-Sharp"...

Lite-On was very close,but this one is incredible. I cant wait for final version ;D
I wanted such skin so those whiners will STFU forever and consider avast! as very professional product!

Excellent work as usual, very clean and professional looking, our only problem is choosing which one of your excellent skins to use.
Perhaps we can cycle through them a week at a time and not get too used to one skin.

BTW avast 4.5 will have a feature of "random skin selection" so you won't have to decide which one to use... :)

Edit: ...and I don't wanna hear about shrinking that avast! logo ;D I want it to be as large as it is, 'cause I want everybody to see what excelent application I'm "skinning"... avast! must be there as big as it is... period ! ;D

I like this skin so much i decided that i'll figure out that ActiveSkin and make a skin! (i'll use Lite-On Skin as base,so i'll know where to place something) I also don't have the name yet,but i'm collecting and cuting graphics :) Maybe Crystal or something since icons and buttons will have crystal look. Anyway keep up the good work and i hope i'll be able to demonstrate the "preview" soon :)

Kidding, just learn and if you can make something better out of Lite-On, go ahead... of course, use your own graphics... no one needs same skin with two different names, right ?
You don't seem like you are too happy about this one... I though you will be so happy 'cause I'm naming this one to you my friend... find me someone else who would do that for his friends and best users in the world - avast! users !!!

Actually the layout and size of all object will be different,but it would be very hard to add all these things from scratch.
I don't even know what to select so you get that sub-object hehe.

OK, "RejZor-Sharp" skin is finished and here are preview screenshots... first one when not in motion (sliding panels), and second one when in motion...

Interesting, on my system the font looks different (bigger). What font do you use in the skin, Craftec? Maybe it's not standard part of Windows (it's not installed on that machine)...
Isn't it Arial Black? I think that font is part of MS Office (which is not installed on the machine I'm testing it...).

Arial Narrow size 11 - I think it's a standard Windows font.
Why are you asking Vlk, do you think it would be good to replace that font with some other ?

Well... one thing is for sure: Arial Narrow is not part of Windows. On my WinXP SP2 there's no Arial Narrow. And that's why the fonts in the skin look so huge on that machine -- because the system substituted the font with regular Arial.. :)
I think Arial Narrow is installed as part of MS Office.

OK, but you didn't say should I fix it or not... I would like to know, so no one else will have problems with displaying those fonts...
Btw, Vlk... is there any chance I can send you font that I use for dispaly area, so you can somehow integrate it somehow with skin download. I mean, Arial Norrow looks so nice on that skin. I tried with regular Arial, but it's ugly...
I don't know what should I do now... Let me know, please !

It's not possible to bundle the font with the skin - the font is Microsoft's property and it cannot be freely distributed.
In my personal opinion, the font could be listed on the download page as "requirement" for this skin and everything would be OK... but it's up to Vlk I guess.

Ok, Vlk, while you are here... is there any chance you guys can put something like DATE info in one column right next to skin preview pictures like Technical has suggested ? That way, everyone would be informed about possible skin updates. I'm not going to make new skin versions out of existing skins, of course... but somethimes, you remember last skin (Black Liquid), when we uplaoded skin up there, and after all those testings we found some minor cosmetic issues that should be changed... now, in skins download section, there are latest versions, but some people who already downloaded old version can not possibly know that... unless they accidently found one of those skin-change-info threads in this forum...

And by the way, how can anyone call "BIONIC" skin unprofessional ? What do they want ? As long as we gather here and use our computers, like it or not, we all live in virtual world... we all like to pretend that we already live in some far future (Start Trek, Galactica, AlienBreed et.)
What could be the possible reason for someone to hate skins like that ? Jealousy maybe ? If we are trying to kill those "virtual" pests all the time, I like my avast! shell to look exactly as Vlk explained it... Level 4 of Biohazard lab...
If someone hates how avast! can (the key word is "can", like possibility or option, not a MUST) look like, they can always go back to Norton... Norton looks very professional... results ? I don't know about that... ::);D

Norton, Mcafee look very professional, but I like your new skin better.
For some reason though I love Bit Defender's interface/skin...
