Title: Avast 5 Failed to execute UI on Fresh windows Instalation

Hi to all

Today i try to install Avast 5 Pro  on a Windows 7 64 BIT  Fresh Install
the install complete sucessfull when the computer restart the Avast Try Icon Not appears
when u click on Orange Avast Antivirus Program u recive this error



"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."




i think this Issue will appears on all windows Fresh Instalation

Solution

the C++ 32Bit library was not found and u need download and install

so I guess I never had this issue because this library (C++32) got installed when required by another application, through Windows update or as part of a setup. Would have to see avast5 behavior if I uninstalled c++2008 & 2005...

The avast installer is (of course) installing all the libraries it needs. The installation must have failed some way.

true, I now remember there's a Vcredist window appearing very shortly during the setup af avast...
