Hello, I am having a major issue with Avast Antivirus Pro running on XPSP3.
Every time it tries to update my entire machine freezes up and is completely unresponsive.
I have had to uninstall it twice now.
The first time uninstalled it my machine appears to be running fine.
I reinstalled it, un-checking automatic updates and it run fine.
As soon as I run a manual update it froze again and continues to freeze up the machine after start-up when Avast launches.
I have had to uninstall it again.
It appears there are a couple of new threats.
wlidui_WLIDSVC
Found on my machine at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\IdentityCRL\production\temp
More info found here:

and
A Trojan called usgthrsvc

Apparently they are causing a lockup when Avast tries to download an update.
Please advise how I should fix this????

have you tried Malwarebytes or A-squared free?

Both are temperory files. Better clean all temperory files first with ATF Cleaner before you do a scan :

Well tried Malwarebytes and Atribune nothing has worked.
Avast will not run or re-start at all. It is totally frozen.
I have uninstalled it and re-installed it several times with no luck.
I have emailed and submitted support tickets but nobody responds.
I have 3 licenses and I am starting feel a bit ripped off!
Does anyone actually work at Avast?????
