Title: Avast 5, windows 7, outlook 2003 on the second user (sur le 2èem utilisateur)
Post by: laryret on February 12, 2010, 09:24:36 AM
Hello,

I have no problem to update (from avast 4.8 to 5) my main account (windows 7). The problem is with the account of my wife. Outlook 2003 has not the mail protection that I have on my account  ???.

How can I manually add this protection (ecf file for outlook or other). I already do a full uninstall and I reinstall. The problem is the same.

Thanks for your help.

For French user:

Bonjour,

Hi, there was probably some problem during upgrade with a plugin for Outlook. Please do following steps:
1) Uninstall avast! 5
2) find file "extend.dat" on your computer - it's typically located somewhere in Documents and Settings folder
3) delete this file
4) install again avast! 5

that should help.
