Title: Avast Free 5.0.418 & OptinProcess
Post by: ioyuioynx on February 16, 2010, 06:23:59 AM
I use AdMuncher and Firefox and currently have OptinProcess=admunch.exe set under [WebScanner] in webshield.ini.

My question is, would I have better protection if I also added the line OptinProcess=firefox.exe?

...should I 'optin' FileZilla(and other web apps/clients), or am I still protected?

Or am I jumping to a misunderstanding of this feature?

No.  Since Firefox is already supported by Web Shield.  Optin Process option is there for the users who would like to let WS scan the traffics of their favorite HTTP applications outsides of these major browsers.

No...actually, FileZilla is an FTP application...
