Title: page cannot be displayed

 hi, avast worked fine until i deleated it from programs without the uninstall tool.i got page cannot be displayed on 90% of web sites. i reinstalled now i get that error on maybe 50%, any suggestions? thanks

what for sites

is it AVvendors site
example symantec.com

just surfing sites, i forgot to add im using xp with explorer ,ive tried win fixes,microsoft fixes, but no luck, any advice? thanks
